Oberemmeler Hütte, a VDP classified site consisting of 5 ha/12 acres, is both the heart of the estate’s vineyard holdings and its calling card. The fine, weathered, blue slate soils lend the wines their unique, filigree structure. The wines are never broad or heavy. The south- to southwest-facing slopes provide optimal exposure to the sun – a factor that bodes well for high levels of ripeness.

We own 2.8 ha/7 acres of vines in this world-renowned, Grand Cru site on the Saar. The firm, blue slate soils bring forth very lively Rieslings that are rich in character and highly esteemed worldwide for their fruit and raciness. This south-facing site has excellent water supplies – a trump card in dry years.
